Hi everyone,I read an article about how gender bias pervades textbook worldwide.I think this has been going over the years.For example,in academic writing when the world ''men'' is used it generally means both male, and female but some kids may read an article that contains the word ''men'' and they may think it only means male.Moreover,some religious books such as the Holy Bible also contains the word ''sons'' and when some children or adult read this holy book they will think it only means sons.In addition,some people in Africa believes that women should not be doing hard jobs such as auto mechanics,truck drivers or construction jobs rather they should be doing jobs like marketing and sales jobs,accountant or bankers jobs.However,rewriting most of the textbooks used in schools will help to minimize the rate of gender bias in the world.
Hello Chuks! lovely article you have here. gender bias is one thing that has being going on for decades, people that are very deep in traditional myths still argues that women has no place in the society, while the Lenette ones knows and sees the important of women in the society. one thing i know for sure is that one day gender bias will come to an end.
