Hi everyone,I read this article about how to listen to music in a safe way in order to protect your ear. What really caught my attention to read on was the statement in the article ''Once you lose your hearing, it won't come back''. I love listening to loud music but this piece of advice in this article will go a long way in changing my habit of listening to loud music. Most youth listen to loud music often despite the warning of its negative effect such as going deaf.I think educating the youth about the risk of loosing their hearing will go along way to minimize the rate at which many youth lost their hearing yearly.I could also imagine the pain most youth may be going through now or later as they age. However, they say ''prevention is better than cure''.Listening to music and turning down the volume is better than listening to loud music and end up suffering from tinnitus, an illness in which you hear noises, especially ringing in your ear.
I like this article it is very educating. It is true that once you lost your hearing, you will never get it back. It is always good to turn down the volume of your music or whatever you listen to. For you to retain the longevity of your hearing, always listen to low volume music.
ReplyDeleteTeenagers and young people can better protect their hearing by keeping the volume down on personal audio devices, wearing earplugs when visiting noisy venues, and using carefully fitted, and, if possible, noise-cancelling earphones/headphones. They can also limit the time spent engaged in noisy activities by taking short listening breaks and restricting the daily use of personal audio devices to less than one hour. Parents need to play an active role in educating their children about safe listening and monitoring their exposure to loud noise.
ReplyDeleteWe associate old people with death problems, I was really impetuous when I was a teenager. I used to listened so high volume my favorite music. Now more mature I try to care more about my health care. It caught my attention the amount of noise we suppose to be limited to listen. According to the article we should not listen more than 15 mints when it is a 100 volume and 85 percent for an hour, but what I am worry about. I work in a noisy restaurant. Most of the worker do not listen already when we are working inside because of the nose produce by the hit of hundreds plates, the computer oven beeping, the microwave and the suction of the kitchen. I think you hit a good point that reminds me to use my headphone at least to cover my ears. thanks.
